Ivan Lau De León is the managing partner for Latin America and head of the Panama practice. He has over 20 years of legal experience, and specializes in providing legal services to a wide range of clients from many areas of the globe, with strong focus on cross-border deals, including commercial international contracts for goods and services, intellectual property, inmigration, company incorporation and structuring, financial institutions counseling, asset protection, and real estate transactions.
Ivan has an academic background with exposure to the United States, European Union and Latin America. With a solid combination of several LLM and MBA. He is a member of many professional organizations, including The Panama National Bar Association, The International Bar Association, Panamanian Association of Business Executives, Shriners International Association, among others. As Pro bono, he provides legal advice to local and regional representative organizations of the UN, Global Compact.
He has written books and several articles, and also has acted as University Professor for corporate law and intellectual property.
In his free time, Ivan enjoys spending time with his family, listening to music, traveling and practicing Sports. Martial Arts Practitioner. Black Belt in: Taekwondo 3er DAN, Hapkido 1st DAN, Haidong Gumdo 2nd DAN., running short and medium distances.
