“Listening, understanding, and not taking anything for granted are qualities that a lawyer should naturally possess or learn,” and that Mariangela has made her own in life and work.

That’s why she believes that lawyers must develop a whole series of transversal competences that, together with the technical and legal background, complete their training and their professionalism. Emotional intelligence, flexibility, empathy, and intuitive ability are essential soft skills to guide clients effectively from the strategic definition of their goals towards the best choices.

Born in Calabria but based in Rome, Mariangela returned in the eternal city after living for several years in Turin. She loves travels, cooking, and devouring books and TV series; she practices yoga and pilates and prefers to surround herself with positive people, from whom she can learn something new.

Mariangela has gained professional experience in the fields of Labour Law – Italian and European – and Industrial Relations, with a specific focus to social dialogue, collective bargaining and employees’ participation in companies, organization of work and working conditions, European Works Councils (EWCs) and Transnational Company Agreements (TCAs).

Regarding information and consultation rights in multinational companies, she has developed, over the years, considerable knowledge and expertise thanks to the cooperation with the most important boutique in this sector, experts in the process of establishing and supporting EWCs in their functioning, as well as in consulting and training activities, since the transposition into Italian Law of the 1994 EWC Directive.

She has also worked with leading National and International law firms providing judicial and extrajudicial assistance to major multi-national companies (MNCs), as well as to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in relation to Labour Law, Social Security Law, and Commercial Law.

Mariangela is also a researcher and cooperates with National and European research and training Institutes, Universities, Trade unions organizations and companies to conduct comparative studies and researches on Labour Law and Industrial Relations, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and on issues related to MNCs’ due diligence in the global supply chain.

In the exercise of her professional activity, Mariangela provides her legal assistance to Italian Third sector organizations in relation to their establishment and management, as well as on Italian and European funding, designing, and implementation of projects. Furthermore, Mariangela is a member of the Labour Law Community (LLC) and the Industrial Relations Share Agency Network
