Starting the first of January 2017 there are new provisions to the Labor Code that extend the time limit for filing an appeal against termination of an employment contract. Namely, according to art. 264 § 1 of the Labor Code the appeal can be lodged with the Labor Court within 21 days from the delivery of the letter of termination of the employment contract - not within 7 days as it was before. The change is therefore important because it has extended the time to appeal three times. It should also be noted that there is a new 21-day deadline concerning appeal against termination of the employment contract and termination of the employment contract without notice previously it was 14 days and the demand for employment contract previously was 14 days.
